Hard pressed on my right. My center is yielding. Impossible to maneuver. Situation excellent. I am attacking."

not yet, we have to get squads to enter for it first then the dates and who we are fighting is announced.
We will have a maximum of 2 weeks to prepare for battle before the match with our opponent, if we leave it for longer than 2 weeks we forfeit the match.
We are going to get training in early so we have a head start and iron out some tactics

At the moment the only other 2 squads that have entered are the SFG and the 505th, both Axis squads.

We have had some good training so far for the squad event.
We could do with as many members on-line at the timings advertised to get the full effect and to show everyone wat is to be done.
We got the flags sorted today so we had a good show of force using 38t's and A13's and it worked well.
We still need to iron out some of the finer points and get the assaulting of the infantry down more but if we get more guys on-line we can afford to have recce troops for the panzers which works better.
Having senior squad members as enemy we are getting to see where we are going wrong on the axis side but also seeing where we could place our armour and inf for when we are the allies and defending which has been good.

The next weekend should be better and more controlled as we get the tactics down.

We have another training session on Sunday, look for the timings on the other thread

I asked JAMMYMAN to confirm some rules for us and questions and here is his the Questions and answers:

1. In relation to the 3 x squads and the different personas you have in there, We are looking at assaulting the buildings with 2 x teams in a 251 each, can we mix the teams around so we have for instance 4 x Smg in 1 x 251 and and the mortarmen and Lmg's in another or do we need to keep the teams separate and specifically have the persona's laid down in each team working as you have specified, we are looking at the teams and its a good team to have if you are attacking a town but not good for building assaults, can you clarify this.
you can mix them up how ever you want, your Squads that is. if you wanted to you could pile all 21 of them into 1 vehicle
2. What do I need to do to get Trainer rights for the server as there are never any trainers on to move flags when we train and we are on there quite often, we also need to have the flags moved into position for the event.
as for Trainers rights, i'd send Motormouth a PM and ask her joining the Training corps. i'm not sure of she's incharge of that or it would be TopD and Joker007 or even higher that being Doc.

3. Is there an area out of bounds limit for the Allied force or can they, if they want, push there ATG's and tanks way out closer to the Axis fb's?
no, the Allied team can set up thier defencive as they thinks is best for them. but i'd be carefull going to far out as you may just miss them coming in or even pick the wrong FB to advance out to.

4. Can the commander be any persona he wants or does he have to be included in the 3 x teams laid down, if he is not part of the teams what persona can he be?
the Commander can be any Infantry persona he wants to be, but he has to be Infantry.

5. The buildings are destroyable so if we destroy the buildings is there a way to put them back up once they are destroyed for the next round?
iirc, there is a Command that i have that will rebuild the building, but i'll have to do some testing to make sure i have it and it works.

6. Can we drop off mortar teams from the teams laid out at a distance or do we have to keep them together as a squad?
you can deploy your teams where you think they can best support your Attack or Defence

I think this has cleared up some problems and has made the event more clear.
In light of what he has said about the squads not having to be together I am going to mix them up as long as we still have the amount of inf and personas in the event, I am looking at the following.

1 x 251 (assault veh)including:
6 x SMG

1 x 251(area assault veh)including:
3 x Mortar
3 x riflemen

38t Recce Inf comprising of:
2 x LMG
3 x Rifle

Training will commence today at 18:00hrs today(Sunday) GMT+0, that is 11:00hrs EST.

I had a discussion with 3DLM about having training with us.

They confirmed they will not participate to the squad event and Managu is OK for playing the opposing force for a special training.

Is it possible to plan this on Saturday around 20h00 GMT ?

I have tried to accomodate different timezones here to suit our squad and the 23:00hrs one is more to suit the Australians at a decent time in the morning.
Sorry Vinci but if the 3DLM want to help they will have to turn up at the times shown, I am not adjusting times to suit them.
